About music ... (WWJLT?)
Music affects us profoundly - whether by changing our emotional state, or sticking things in our memory. (And if you don't believe that, think of commercial jingles, like "Oh, I wish I were an ..." - you know the rest!). We wake up to it ('clock radio'), we play it in our cars. (Hey - maybe if they wouldn't broadcast hard rock during drive time, traffic wouldn't be so crazy?) It's piped into stores, restaurants, offices, and seemingly every elevator in the world. And how many babies go to sleep every night with a lullaby? This is why we take very seriously the music we play for our clients. We only play positive, upbeat-message songs - and not just because "It's a PARTY!" ("In The Ghetto", "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" - do these sort of songs say "party" to you?) There are more than enough negative messages in our day-to-day world; we'd like to do something to change that, even if only for a few hours. Did you have a crummy day at work? Maybe you and your spouse/date had a disagreement on the way to the party. Cheer up -- you'll have to try hard to feel bad while listening to our music! We have several music-related pages here that might be of interest to you. First, of course, is our Playlist - a list of all the major artists represented in our music library. There is also a section devoted to Reviews - albums in our collection that we've commented on as a tool to help potential clients get a feel for our music and why we play (or don't play) what we do. Then there is a page which contains a list of questions to ask about music. And we also have several pages of wedding music - one for instrumental ceremony music, one for vocals appropriate for the ceremony, and one of suggestions for your "First Dance." "What Would Jesus Listen To?" (T-shirts coming soon.) Home
